Fillers

Fillers are injectable substances used to correct lines, wrinkles and the deeper folds of the face. In the U.S., the predominant type of filler uses a gel of hyaluronic acid. The latter is a natural substance found in human skin, which confers great volume as it is highly hydrophilic (water-loving). Allergic reactions to FDA-approved fillers used in the U.S. are very rare. Filler injection treatments are very well-tolerated by patients, and a triple numbing cream is typically applied for 30 to 60 minuted prior to the procedure to significanlty reduce any type of discmfort during it.

Fillers not only fill in lines, but they can also create a lifting effect on the face. And when several types of fillers are combined they can accomplish:
• Restoration of volume to the cheeks
• Lifting of the corners of the mouth and jowls
• Softening of the nasolabial folds
• Lip augmentation and rejuvenation.

This procedure is what we have come to know as The Liquid Facelift.
